1. Introduction to Employment Law
This course is for those new to employment law or those with limited experience. It includes presentations and short case studies on, for example: forming the employment relationship; employee status; employee rights; employee obligations; discrimination in the workplace; statutory dismissal and grievance procedures; terminating the employment relationship; redundancy and dismissal issues; and Employment Tribunal procedure.
2. Employment Law: Annual Update
This update is for those with some exposure to employment law and personnel matters who need to be up to date in their understanding of topical issues. The last course included: TUPE 2006 regulations; the most recent discrimination cases; recent cases on grievance and disciplinary procedures; part-time workers and the most recent working time cases; employment status; and recent cases on unfair dismissal.
