"Solicitor Michael Kingman is ‘very thorough’ and approaches cases ‘with painstaking tenacity". - Legal 500
Michael qualified as a Solicitor in 1981 and has specialised in personal injury cases for over 30 years, gaining a Diploma in Personal Injury Litigation (Leeds) in 1991.
During his career he has served on the Law Society Personal Injury panel and other specialist organisations and is currently a member of the Society of Clinical Injury Lawyers.
He has represented clients in a number of high profile cases, including the Dan-Air Plane Crash, the Bradford City Fire and The Piper Alpha Oil Rig Disaster, as well as representing 44 families in claims against the Department of Health in the HIV Haemophiliac litigation.
Michael has acted on behalf of a client with terminal cancer, whose doctor failed to refer him to hospital. The doctor’s Defence Union fought the case to trial, where they lost. Despite the sad circumstances, Michael was able to secure a very substantial payment to safeguard the client’s family.
"Mike was my and my wife’s rock. He guided us through the complications of my case on a regular basis, and was always available to provide advice and reassurance. We are in no doubt that our claim was successful largely due to his hard work and dedication, and we will remain forever grateful to him." - Mr G, Jan 2020
He now deals exclusively with Medical Negligence cases, covering a broad range of claims against Hospitals, GPs and Dentists, including cerebral palsy cases and fatal injuries.
His specialisms include:
- Cancer cases
- Orthopaedic injuries
- Deep Vein Thrombosis
- Stroke prevention
He is an Honorary Fellow of Cancer Research UK.
