How do I submit my application?
Please follow the link on our website to our ‘Jobs in Law’ page and submit your application along with your CV to l.earp@duttongregory.co.uk.
What will happen after I have submitted my application?
Once we have received your application we will acknowledge this by email. CV’s are then reviewed with the relevant department head. You will be contacted if your application has been successful. If you do not hear form us 4 weeks your application has been unsuccessful.
How long will I have to wait for a response on my application?
You will hear from a member of the HR department within two working days of your application.
How will I know if I get an interview?
Our HR Executive/HR Administrator will be in touch directly with an interview date and time.
What should I expect from my interview?
Once you have been invited for interview the email will contain information such as who will be on the interview panel as well as letting you know if the interview will be held face to face or remotely.
A second interview may be needed for more senior appointments.
What if I have special requirements for the interview?
In the Interview invitation email you will be asked whether you have any special requirements for the interview.
Will I need to prepare anything for my interview?
Please make sure you know which position you are interviewing for. Please also do your research on Dutton Gregory and prepare your questions for the panel.
Will I be asked to do an assessment at my interview?
Some roles require an assessment, for example, a. Legal Secretary will require a typing test after the interview. We may also carry out a short spelling and grammar assessment for some roles.
How long after my interview will I find out if I have been successful or not?
We aim to give you our decision with three working days. This could be slightly longer if we have several interviews throughout the week.
Will I get feedback if I have been unsuccessful?
If you have applied through a recruitment agency we will provide our feedback directly to them. If you are a direct applicant we will explain why you haven’t been successful.
Will my details be kept on file?
If your application has been unsuccessful, your application details will be destroyed after 6 months to one year.
Can I apply for more than one role with your firm at one time?
Yes you can apply for any role you feel you’re suitable for.
