Emma Menzies, head of our award-winning Personal Injury team, has been awarded the title of "Defendant Lawyer of the Year" at the National Personal Injury Awards.
Emma was praised as a “model professional", and the judges commented she is "greatly admired by colleagues and opponents alike”.
The deciding judge, Matthew Maxwell Scott from ACSO described Emma as a "very deserved winner”.
The Personal Injury Awards took place on Wednesday 27th November 2019.

Emma is an award-winning Solicitor with a wealth of experience in defendant claims. With over 20 years’ experience dealing with high value, serious and complex cases, Emma advises on all aspects of liability, causation and quantum.
Among her many successes, Emma defended a ‘Hot Tub Lung’ case (one of only a handful of litigated cases in England and Wales) and successfully persuaded the Claimant to discontinue 4 days before trial, with costs payable to the Defendant.
Emma also won "Partner of the Year" at the 2019 Dorset Legal Awards for her work in the county, and her department won "Personal Injury Team of the Year" at the 2018 Dorset Legal Awards.
