Dutton Gregory is welcoming the appointment of its first qualified Notary Public, Alice Toop.
Alice Toop has joined the Commercial Litigation team of Dutton Gregory Solicitors as an Associate Solicitor to provide a full range of notary public services for businesses and individuals.
As the oldest and smallest branch of the legal profession – there are only approximately 750 notaries in England & Wales – Notary Publics are highly specialist lawyers who hold an international recognised public office and facilitate international transactions throughout the world.
Alice not only produces Notarial Acts which are relied on by foreign authorities and trading partners, but also advises on and arranges UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, consular and embassy documentation.
Alice’s appointment means that Dutton Gregory is now one of a small minority of firms who can offer notary public services.
‘I am delighted to have joined Dutton Gregory,’ says Alice.’I am looking forward to providing professional and efficient notary public services to its clients and other businesses and individuals.’
‘Alice’s appointment enables us to provide high-quality notary public services to clients,“ says Andrew Witt, Partner and Head of Litigation at Dutton Gregory Solicitors. “There are only a handful of notaries locally, so the services Alice is able to offer will be a fantastic asset to both new and existing clients looking for support in their cross-border and international activities”.
